There are many sites covering
humanist, secular, rationalist and sceptical interests and topics. The British Humanist
Association has a list
of such sites, so we link to this list. CUAAS is also of
interest locally |
Founded in 2000, CUAAS (formerly HmmSoc)
follows a long history of non-theistic thought in Cambridge University and is
run by elected students operating as a committee. CUAAS holds several types of
events to cater for different interests, ranging from formal talks and debates
by invited speakers to social events such as formal halls, garden parties and
pub meets.
The British Humanist
Association is the main UK humanist organization to which many local groups
are affiliated, (including the Cambridge Humanist Group). The BHA publishes a
lively magazine, Humanity, and organizes
conferences, meetings, courses and social events.
Rather than maintain a separate list on this site, here is
a link to the BHA's
list of links to other organizations.
It covers:
affiliated groups (those in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland are listed
separately)
other British organizations (eg, National Secular Society, Rationalist Press Association)
foreign organizations (eg, Association of Irish Humanists)
international organizations (eg, International Humanist and Ethical Union, The Institute for
the Secularization of Islamic Society).
